Ok, here's the story below, but basically this was an old friend of mine, the last person in the world I would have thought of doing something like this. How much jail time do you think he's looking at? I don't think he has had anything prior other than speeding tickets. I stopped by and visited him for the first time in about 4-5 years the other day, we had just lost touch. He's fucked if he's convicted it will be a long time before he gets out. With that 12.5k he better higher a good attorney or go on the run.It's one thing to be caught and say it is for personel use and it is another to be caught with that much. In that situation being released on personal recoznizance I would go to TJ obtain a false Identity for 100 bucks and then fly to Austraila and start a new life there. I can't believe his bail was only set at 20k. When I was driving my girlfriends car that had the tassel hanging on the rear view mirror I got pulled over and ticketed for it. I decided it was fucking stupid and didn't pay a 45 dollar ticket and I was notfied months later about having a warrant out for my arrest with bail set at 10k for that stupid ticket. Anyway I paid the ticket and addational penalties and learned a very good lesson. | ||
