another item to worry about. Yesterday I noticed when I started my Disco-I there was a funny rushing - high RPM sound coming from under the hood. The truck drove as if it was loosing power on the acceleration. I lifted the hood and the rushing noise sounded as if it was coming from the radiator fan. Then when I got out on the highway I didn't have any cruise control. Everything seems to be hooked up OK under there and whatever is causing the problem hasn't had any effect on fuel consumption - I'm still getting about 15-17 MPG on the interstate. It just doesn't have any guts when I accelerate into traffic but seems to drive OK when I get up to speed. Help??? |

Vacuum leak, Check the lines first, they go to the pump under the jack and the little rubber disc near the throttle linkage, they also run into the firewall on the left side of the brake booster. Ron |
