I had a fuel pressure problem and the Check Engine light came on - not the RED one. It's fixed now. Will the computer recognize that it's fixed? secondly, if not - does anyone have a dohickey so that they can reset it for me. I'm in Fairfax, VA. I know there are a lot of you from around here.

an OBDII reader can reset it or it will turn off after a few starts if the problem has been solved

The Check Engine light will reset itself depending on what sort of code has been thrown. It depends on the code type (emissions, engine, fuel, etc). The codes will reset after the system rechecks itself around 40 times (this number is dependent on the code type - system checks are turn-overs of the ignition, ie starting and driving). If the problem still exists after this time the light will flash instead of staying steady. In my case the emissions reminder is throwing codes daily and my light just stays on constantly. The light is a good diagnostic tool if you use it that way... just a little anoying.
