How about Sleep Bear Dunes? I am not 100% sure but you might find some off-road or at least people who can point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Russ:
There is a group on Yahoo called the Great Lakes Land Rover Club. Don Sokolow is the president.

We often have runs in the TC area, Petoskey has some cool places, as does the Ludington area.

last time i was at Sleeping Bear Dunes it was always off limits to cars/trucks. you pretty much crawl/walk up the front side and the back side go straight into Lake Michigan. that was years ago when we had a house in Leland, MI. north of the park.

I grew up in Mid-Michigan and escaped in 1977. We had a vacation home in Oscoda where I spent my summers. It's a beautiful area that I have fond memories of.

Michigan doesn't start until you're past St. Ignace and the UP doesn't start until you go past Copper Harbor. The wheeling north of the bridge is incredible. I can't imagine the West being that much better.

30 years of traveling to the UP and I never knew that Seasonal Road meant cool place to wheel. Where else can you be 40 miles from the nearest road and see a sign that says "Bar, 5 miles" with an arrow pointing the direction?

Peace,
Paul

Lac La Belle is a great place to lay over for the evening-especially when you're lost and hungry and cold and thirsty.
