Any experience. What do you think. I've found them for 35 a piece, may be the best bang for the buck. I know Will Roeder has em, but there wasn't anything i could find in the archives.

thankx

I had them. They worked pretty good. If you wait for a few months, they will probably have a sale again (buy one get one free). The only reason I bought them in the first place was that I could get two for 35 bucks a pop. I must say, for a 35 dollar light they worked well.

I'd say if you mount them on a roof rack, they would rock. If you do put them on a rack, you could get a mass quantity of them and then that would be better.

FWIW...

Don't get them with procomp bulbs, mine popped almost immediatly . Get the housings only and buy replacement bulbs from pepboys. I got 100w sylvania bulbs in procomp housings. Cheap and evective. I saw the housings for $18 each. The sylvania bulbs were about $10.

I bought 4 of these lights about a year ago for my roof rack and they really turn night into day when trekking through the woods. They've stayed nice and sealed through the worst weather I could throw at them, along with big, low-hanging branches slamming into them on occasion. I was able to get them off eBay for about $25 each almost new with shipping. I'm gonna get slaughtered for this, but after all 4 of my light covers got stolen by some smart ass, I replaced them with Hella 4000 covers. They cost only a couple of bucks more than replacement Pro Comp covers. It took a little modification to get them to fit right since the Hellas are slightly bigger, but now they're on there nice and snug, and it looks like I spent a Hellava lot more $$ on my lights than I really did (sorry for the stupid pun). In addition, I got some cheap Rallye brand 6" semi-oval, low profile 100 watt lights from Wal-Mart for the back of the rack, and man they work great at the campsite and on the trail. A steal at $30/pair complete with wiring kit and black mesh-type grille guards.

yeah the rally lights from wal mart are good, i had some on my truck with kc covers but the covers got stolen. They worked really well, and I've seen 6 hella 4000's light up a trail, but thats all that i've seen besides my wally world specials. Shit John that gave me an idea for if anyone ever steals mine, lol.

Anyone know of a good place to get the housings?
