I put the batteries in reverse which the remote alarm in some sort of neutral state. I cannot get in. cannot start car w/o the alarm going off. drivers side door does not work w/ the key, only the remote. is there any way to re program by hitting the remote buttons in any sequence? HELP please asap. this is my only car. i am stranded and leave for airport early am. thanks! |

Make and year please! Up to 95, not to bad and can be reset by the owner. 96 and beyond are a sad trip to the shop and the testbook. |

its a 95 discovery. my girlfriend wrote this post. i go outside and low and behold look whats happened. any ideas would help us out. cheers.. |

Go to here; http://www.discoweb.org/faq/remote.htm should help. If that doesn't work also try disconnecting the battery for about 1 hour. My 95 the remote just stopped working one day, the only thing that made it work again was to kill the truck power and reprogram the remote. A WARNING, disconnecting your battery will cause the ABS (air bag light) to come on and then needs to be reset by the dealer, and if you have the stock radio the code will have to be re-entered.
