Does anyone know of a replacement headlight lense which is cheaper to buy than the genuine glass units. Is there a "plastic" version available? If so by whom? Here's my reason for asking. Something many of us may not have considered, I know I hadn't prior to this incident. Night time trail ride, below freezing temperature. I have my headlights on. So far no problem. So here is tonights lesson, Ice cold water + hot glass lenses due to Halogen bulbs = rapid temperature change. Something has to give and the weakest link is the glass. Two instantly cracked headlights which now like to fill up with condensation and rain and burst the Halogens. |

I was just curious of a plastic replacement, as the plastic should not react so extremely to the temp changes. |
