Thought that my rear sunroof was rattling, but it is actually the roof. Just behind the rear sunroof there is a cross beam that the roof is bonded to. Well that bond has ripped away and the roof just bounces up and down pretty bad especially with the momentum of the sunroof. I was wondering if anyone could recomend a bonding agent to stick the roof and cross beam back together. Also, FWIW I can't clean all of the old bond off and the roof and crossmember are painted.

permatex has a gasket maker called "the right stuff",it is some strong. i once used it to repair a broken trans mount that was no longer available.i would not use it in place of rtv silicone ,as it bond is very strong. but it might work well in this application, strong bond, and able to flex. |

Just use RTV silicone caulk. I had the same issue from people sitting on my hood which bent the under-supports. Even with engine heat - the silicone RTV hold up well |

how bout some expanding foam. Just shoot some in there and let it do the rest. Don't use to much cause if it has no where to go it will bow your roof. I used this alot when I owned a stereo shop. |

Sikaflex 227. Once this sets you will have to destroy your panels if you try to separate it. |
