Does anyone know of a reasonably priced and sporty looking after market rim set that will fit a 94 D1?

Carter your tough on newbies!

Mike, this is a Land Rover, most things aren't reasonably priced.

But here a place to start.

Thanks guys. I've checked all the sites. Both my wife and I own Disco 1's She has the 98 and I have the 94. I am not too much of a newbie. I constantly read the posts and try to keep myself updated on the most recent tech briefs. I have not read anything about aftermarket rims.

Keep up the good info.

Mike

How about these? We can have a group buy if anyone is interested:

Let me know because I already checked their prices. Perhaps EE can help us get these cheaper. Ho? Anyone?

Mike, due to the bolt pattern on Land Rovers you are going pretty much be limited to Land Rover wheels. I have not seen many after market wheels for Discos, except in a few of the British mags like "LR Owner International". Most of the guys on this site wheel their trucks and are not interested in gussying up their rigs and acutally look down on doing so. On this site "Sporty" is a steel wheel. Since you didn't seem to know that and with your low post number I assumed you were a newbie.

You are a Brave man or must have an understanding wife to own two Discos! :-)

There's not much in aftermarket rims for the D1. Atlantic British does carry *gasp* 18", 20", 22" aftermarket rims for the D2, so I checked their selections for a D1. Nothing but the Land Rover OEM wheels.

I'm happy that there are not many (or any) aftermarket rims for Disco 1. To me, there is nothing worse than a car ruined by gaudy wheels. Everytime I see that show 'cribs' on MTV and see all the beautiful Porsches and Ferraris ruined by these stupid DUBS and now DUB Deuce aftermarket wheels I could cry. I'm sure the car designers in Germany, Italy, and elsewhere are appalled by this as well. Just my .02.

I like those Stockton wheels. How much are they? Oh yeah, you can't drive beadlockers on the streets in CA....

John Hook, I'm with you. I hate to see a pimped out Disco or Range Rover, but to each his own.

Borbet used to have something...and someone was chroming rover wheels but haven't seem anything like that in a while......
After all d2s are now up to four year olds...and D3 will arrive for the MY 2005.....
You CAN fit d2 wheels if you buy the adapter go to www.rimmberbros.co.uk pages 47-49 of their catalog...shipping ain't cheap.....
