My wipers suck and so I have ordered the winter blade kit from Rover Connection. My question is how do you get the old arms off and put the new ones on? This might sound like a stupid question but I have never had to remove the arms on any truck before, but LR decided to fuck with us and play stupid games with their shitty arms and wipers. LOL!! Thanks for all the help guys!! |

assuming this is a D2. just pop the little black round cover off...remove bolt....reverse process. done.

Garretts answer also works on a D1. You shouldn't have to remove the arm though to install the winter blades. -Reed |

I just switched my DII wiper arms last nite to the DI arms - and added silblades....The switch should only take you about 15 minutes. Once you pop the cover off the nut, just undo the nut. I had to use a screw driver to push up the old arm - then just put the new one on and put the nut back on.... Just waiting for the rain now in MA........ha! Good luck |

reed. in order to put the 'standard' wiper blades that can be bought at any NAPA or pep boys (i.e. Bosch refills) you have to install new arms on the D2's. LR sells (amoung other places) a winter kit that includes winter blades and new arms that will take generic blades in the summer. unlike our D1's we can get refills anywhere. |
