Greetings. I have a 94 Disco, 85,500 miles, automatic transmission. When engine is cold, it takes about 7 or so seconds for the engine to turn over, but once the engine turns over, she does not stall. Also, when the engine is at operating temp., she starts immediately but stalls one second later. I have to keep my foot lightly on the gas until the motor stabilizes. Any ideas? On a side topic and nothing to do with the above issue, the check engine light came on. Code is 44 (oxygen sensor). Can any harm be caused if the sensor is not replaced? And, if I disconnect the battery for 1/2 hour, will the check engine light go out even if the sensor is not replaced? Thank you! |
