I have a 95 Disco I, and in the ceiling panel there is a clear shape and indent of where a potential sun roof would be. Is it possible to "add" a sun roof fixture to the disco?

Dude.
LR sunroofs are a pain in the roof. They break, they stick, they whistle, they leak.
Be glad you don't have one. (or two)
Check the archives and see all the posts about broken sunroofs and take note that no one on this board even responds to questions about fixing them.
If you really want a sunroof, take a crayon and color your headliner blue. Use a black crayon for night time effect.

I have had no problems with my Land Rover certified aftermarket sunroof... A local company certified by land rover put them in. The kit is from webasta-hollandia or something very close to that. The roofs are bigger than factory and close automatically when you shut the truck off. In short I love them. any questions shoot me an email or repost on this board.

I've got 2 original sunroofs in my 98 with over 100K and I've never had a problem with them. Sure they rattle a little bit, but if you really liked Rover's you would hear it as the sweet british music it is. Of course I consider the trail of power steering fluid as "marking my terrirory" so I may just be insane.

I have 2 afermarket sunroofs and they are very nice. I like them a lot more then the 2 factory sunroofs I had in my previous disco.

What kind of money are we talking about to put in aftermarket sunroofs? I wouldn't mind moonroofs.

My rear sunroof sometimes leaves itself open at night when it rains. This allows complete cycling of the self cleaning rear seat. A feature that is especially appreciated by my daughter. Other than that the sunroof is not very practical.
