Misfire Service Code

I have had a # 8 cylinder misfire code on my '99 D2 for the past month. I took it to the dealer while it was still under warranty- they said it was a faulty plug wire and changed it. Since then, my service engine light has come on twice and when I check the codes, it again says #8 misfire. Obviously the spark plug wire was not the culprit. Like I said before, this problem existed before the warranty was up and was not fixed correctly under warranty. Therefore, it should and will be covered.
