I have to replace my window regulator (front, driver-side, 1997 Disco.) and would like to know if it is something that can be done without the shop manual. I know there's a tech article on it but it mentions the manual, which I am in the process of purchasing. Any help? |

When you get to the part about removing the door panel, make sure you have one of those panel removeing tools. They are pretty cheap and will save a lot of grief over just using a screwdriver. Other than that, it is a fairly straight forward process. (Actually not sure about the front door, but I have done the back DS door several times.) -Reed |

Brett, I did my front driver's side with the help of a friend, no manual. It wasn't too big of a deal. It was interesting to see how that regulator fits through that little hole though You should be fine, just watch how you pull the other out.. Good luck.. |
