Is anyone running 265/75's on a D1 with 4.25 inch backspaced wheels? I'm tempted to do this, but have some questions. Does it require any upper wheel arch trimming? Does it cause the tires to stick out too far beyond the body giving the truck that "lowrider" look? (I know that this is totally subjective).
Thanks

hay Mark
I dont know about the offset but on mine the right rear rubs on the fuel spout. Youre an inch higher and if I remember wright you have bigger bump stops so it might not be a problem. When do I get to see that new bumper? Max

well...... If you really want us to answer that you need to tell us how much (if any) the truck is lifted. If its just your standard 2 inch OME, or probablly even a 3 inch lift for that matter, you are going to need a LOT of trimming (or some big ass bump stops) to run that size on those rims.

3 inch lift and longer bump stops will work, also, you will need to trim some. With 2 inch lift, you will chew up your tires from the top wheel well and rear. This is for a D1.

well you can always trim enough to make them work James it just depends on how much you like your doors. LOL :-)

that's true, maybe if I trim my doors, they will open easier? Maybe the windows will even open!

now your thinking :-) (oh, I this is all dripping with sarcasm. I am by no means advocating the butchering of perfectly good rovers just to look like a jeep)

Sorry I didn't give more details about the truck. I am runnig 3 inch RTE springs, with Rockware shock & spring mounts trailing links and Rancho 9000's. The rear body panels are already trimmed with an Aedofab bumper installed.
I am most concerned with the upper wheel arches i.e will fender flares be required, or optional at a later date.

Add bumpstops and call it a day. That's what I run.
