Is the True Track front locker worth the money for the front of my 97 disco? ARB seems a little steep compared to the True Track, but I also understand the True Track is not a "true" locker. |

Just wanted to warn you: you're going to see a lot of questions about how and where you wheel, why you feel you need a front locker, do you already have a rear locker and if so what kind, etc. So you might want to head them off at the pass with that info. -Lawrence

I have a rear Detroit already. Around where I live we do alot of Rock Crawling, Streambeds, Steep Uphill wheeling. But there is still alot of snow around here too that we like to play in. My main concern with the True Track is does it lock up and stay locked while you crawl over stuff? Or if I am trying to climb a steep muddy hill will it lock in or will it engage/disengage over and over? |

While we are on the subject, how do you like the Detroit. You seem to have used it. How do you like on-road? Off-road? http://landrover.mrbaileyshistory.net I can't help you with info on the T.T.

I may get lockers some day, but then I remember... Doug has no lockers on his truck...

I love my Rear locker. It was one of the first mods I did. I can't really tell is in there on the road. Besides a little clicking noise when makeinf tures you would never know is was there. Off-road it is awsome. With the rear alone I have taken my truck many places a stock truck would never go. |

I like the True Track above the ARB because if your rig is lifted, it helps restore the self-centering that was lost because of the loss of castor from the lift. Is the TT a true locker? Well, from what I understand, it can transfer up to 75% of the torque to the wheel with traction. It's more of a limited-slip than a true locker like the Detroit or ARB. |

You may wish to wait and see if the eaton/detroit selectable locker will be made for your axle. It fucntions as a truetrac when not locked and a fully locked locker when locked. The downside is that the shift fork motor is mounted on the diff cover. |

I have just a front TT & I love it. Definate traction improvement off-road, and no noticeable problems on road. |

Yea, I saw the price for the new Detroit elec. locker for the Dana 40's and 60's, $795.00. For that price I could almost have the ARB. I like the 300-400 price for the TT. |
