Where is the best place to get power to a CB. I spliced into a AUX wire in the fuse area under the dash and I am getting engine noise in the speaker. |

OK, great thanks guys. Brian, what fuse did you go to? As far as the milage...not really. I have been running in "Sport Mode" ever since that thread about improving mileage and it seems to be better and have more power so it has improved as far as that is concered.I was getting about 225-235 and now it is between 255-275 so that is it but I am looking forward to after March when the winter additives are no longer in the gas. I think that has alot to do with it. |

I ran mine into the fuse box too. Im not sure what spot but I think it was the same as the radio. I don't know for sure but I have always heard that engine noise comes from a bad ground. Mine is grounded to a bolt holding the steering colum up. |

I ran mine to the fuse block. It was a spade that was supposed to be switched battery power, turns out it was but it was switched to the headlights. Not too bad, and it works well, iI just have to have my lights on in order to use the CB. The connector is on there now, and is very hard to take off. So I guess I am to lazy to change it. -Reed |

I would run it straight to the battery, that is the best way, less chance of electrical noise, and you can have it on with the car off, just make sure you switch it off when not needed. Doesn't take much effort to just run a wire out to the battery. |

Take it from the main fuse block under the hood. That is a direct battery feed, but without the mess of crap going to the actual battery. There are a couple free connectors there on a Disco I. Bill |
