The time's going to come soon enough that I need to let my 95 DI go and get into a DII. I just need some help with which yaer to buy. 99 DII's are quite reasonably priced here ($26k-30k canadian) and the 2000's seem to be 4 or 5k more than the 99s. I don't think they changed much in the body but I don't know about the bugs (being the first generation) that they may have fixed in 2000 or what the differences are under the hood. Unfortunately we can't realistically afford anything newer than a 2000 but if the 99's are a pretty good truck all around I'd sure love the extra 5 grand in cash to play with. Thanks |

Kyle, I bet there are still some '99 D1's out there with a reasonable amount of miles. '99 and '00 model year with the CDL stud is the way to go if you are going D2. Just rememeber, the D2 is bigger, especially the ass end and you do not have the CDL cockpit control. |
