Looks good. Missing a little something on the front end there though, hope you didn't leave it on the trail somewhere.

OK, so I'm supposed to be able to get my springs Monday or Tuesday. I decided that I'm such a lift wannabe that I would go out and see what the truck would look like. But I can't post the photos here because it is too wide. Anyway, it is interesting to see what 106k miles on my truck have done to the LR shocks and springs...

Truth be told, I had done some damage trying to do the trip to Crown King a couple months ago. Starter died on me 2/3rds of the way into the trip and had to get towed out on a tow strap. Managed to destroy the OEM brush guard, bent the bumper, cracked the grille, and popped out a headlight. It gave me the perfect excuse to order my ARB bumper which is now installed on it. Now to get a winch and lockers...

The original tires were stock. It now has 245/75 BFG AT KOs. In the before pics, it was ~17 - 17 1/4" from rim center to fender (front & rear)...the springs were sagging badly. It is now sitting ~21 1/2" after I installed my ARB bumper (22" before).

My apologies on the pics, but not much you can do with a 320x240 pixel pic. Keep in mind, the new tires are significantly taller than the pre-lift tires which cuts down on the visual appearance of the lift as they fill more of the wheel well.

Is that 21.5" in the front, rear, where?

The middle photo on my experiment shows it at stock height at 18.5 in front and 19.5 in rear. The last photo shows it at 20.5 front and 21.5 rear.

Those tires look good with it. Did you have to do any trimming on the fenders?

if the tires in the pic are stock 235/70, it looks like you have the RTE 2inch lift kit. I'm still a little confused with the 400+ rate and "soft" ride. Maybe I'll try the 4 inch lft and see if they are similiar to the RTE 3 inch springs. Oh, do the green springs still have the "never will sag" gauranty? Thanks for the pics.

To answer James' and RB's questions...it is now 21.5" in front, 22" rear. I lost ~0.5" putting on the ARB. The tires in the (left) pre-lift pic are the ones I had on it when I bought it. The tires in the (right) post-lift pic are new 245/75s. I don't know about the no sag warranty. You'd have to ask Andy at NWParts.

I didn't take any after pics with the original tires as it looked very gawky...The guys at Off Road Unlimited in Scottsdale and I had a good laugh at it when they were done. I took it straight from there to get the new tires put on.

So I should assume a 20.5 in front with a 2" lift then.

RB, there is a table with in the tech section that outlines the different lifts you get with different springs under "liftmeasurement." Please excuse me if you have already seen the table...judging by your number of posts, I am guessing you might have seen it.

I think the reason the NWP springs have been getting some attention is that they have some intriguing qualities including the fact that they are new, few people have tried them yet (which makes them a bit of an unknown variable until they get a sufficiently large installed base - but those that have installed them so far have liked them), they are significantly cheaper than OME or other alternatives, you can custom order different lengths and they aren't currently in that tech list.

Ya, I've seen it, that is what I am basing my measurments off of. I already have my 2" lift on order from NWP - should get them today!

I think the price difference is mainly a function of name brand, location of manufacture, a new product, etc, etc...

Like I have posted in the other thread - I am a little concerned about possible problems after the lift. That is the main reason I am keeping with the 2".

R.B,
I know what you mean with concerns about "major mods" to get back to no wobble on the highway. It's encouraging to see Todd's experience has been wholly positive.

I am hoping that I'll get lucky and once I add sliders, winch, bumper and the other flotsam this year I will be OK. Good luck with your lift!
