I have a rattle in the dash of my 98 disco. I have traced it to the twin vanes (Left and right) that direct air to the face and/or the feet and face. The two most used in the car. If I put a screwdriver in the vent hole I can stop the rattle. I have tried bits of foam stuck in through the side to try and stop the thing however it just comes back after a few K's on the road. Should there be a lock washer on the shaft that can be just seen at the left hand side of the air box? Its really hard to get at as well (naturally)Damm thing is driving me crazy. Surprise surprise it's the only rattle I have after 70,000K's. Feel free to email me PLEASE |
