East Coast Rover and British Car Co. are RPi's US distributors, although you can probably order direct from the UK and have it air freighted (hate to guess how much that would cost). Also, Atlantic British carries the short blocks and the heads, but they may be a bit pricy. Check the 4.6 archives, there are some on this board who have gotten new short blocks for @ $1200. ---Norm |

ecr no longer reps for rpi and will only sell with install anyway. rpi is first choice but needs a week to build a lb + 4 days transit hence my search stateside. will check with rds though, i've talked with him previously and he's been very helpful. btw, air freight for a lb from gb is less than $400. ok!? thanks for all the input amigos... |

Only $400.00 to freight a long block from the UK??? Shee-it!!! Forget about British Car Co. then, those bastards are a rip off (I think they charged me over $500 shipping) and the idiots sent me a GEMS 4.6 for my '95. Buy direct from RPi, save and get MUCH better service. ---Norm |

I found my short block for $1100 from Land Rover Main Line. they will install a cam and timing chain for a total of $1600 (both prices include shipping).

Don't forget you'll need new electronics to handle a 4.6 But I'd do it in a minute if I had to go down that road...... |
