there are some outstanding drivers at Outer Banks. when we lost a buy after a hurricane and it ended up on the beach in Kill Devil Hills, we went with a fellow from Duck in the F250 to pick it up. He drove out to the beach, right to the edge of the surf zone, disengaged 4WD, and dug his rear wheels into sand, so that we wouldn't have to lift a 300-lb slug too high. There was a sleazy reporter bouncing around; he was laughing his ass off and yelling "you guys are fucked!!!" (the ford's rear end was buried 3/4 tire height deep) Then the guy flipped it back into 4WD, aired down to 40 psi (from 55), and just drove off.

It's a rack for a cooler and fishing poles.
