I have had my disco only a couple weeks and lovin' it.
1st question: The front sunroof will not open, you can hear the motor trying to open it but it doesn't budge. Any ideas?
2nd question: Is there an online source that I can go to in order to read the owners manual. I have one on order but they said it will take about 3-4 weeks.
3rd question: Are the window switches on the console supposed to be backlit, if so how do I get to the bulbs.

Lastly I would like to thank the creators, moderators and users of this board. It is a vast source of information that has already helped me with some problems and I just got my Disco. Thanks everyone!!!
Richard

I can't tell you about the other stuff, but the window switches... I can't remember if mine in the '94 are backlighted or not. But someone told me that you can get the little bulbs for switches at Radio Shack, you just have to take it out and take it in to make sure you get the right bulb. I will probably do that with a few of my dash switches this weekend.

I also have a '97, and I just blew the engine so I am buying a lot of parts for a lot of money. I stumbled onto this man named Mohamed 800-274-4830. This guy has the best prices around and he gets his parts straight from Land Rover or their source. Either way they have the same warranty for a better price.

The guy will beat just about any price, and has a source for salvage parts. I am going to write his number down and carry it in my wallet, and he is going to be my number one parts man from nwo on. I suggest you do the same.

There ARE back lights in your light switches. You need first to pull off the woodgrain pannel (or black if you don't have wood), it just pulls right off. Then you can access the switches and I don't really know from there, but if you pull them apart, you need to be VERY carfull, I did once out of curiosity and nearly ruined it.
