Does anyone local to Dallas, TX have a tool that can reset the autolock feature on my 1999 Disco II? (I hear you have to have a computer interface device or something similar...)

Thanks,
jim (jimmystem@yahoo.com)

Are you talking about the "SuperLock" feature? I had mine disabled in my 99D2. I was afraid my kids might get themselves locked in.

In regards to the computer interface, it's called Testbook. They are only available at Dealers and some specialized Rover shops. It's pretty pricey ($10K) and rover specific so most people don't have them. Again, www.disco2.com has a complete list of features that can be controlled by testbook.

A few I had activated were:
Door locks at 5MPH
Daytime running lamps
Fog lights stay on with High Beams.

Hope this helps,
-John

Hey Jim, I see you've asked several questions about your new rig and most people have offered advice. It's helpful to everyone else on the board if you will respond back and let us know if the suggestions worked or were off base. Maybe other people are experiencing the same problems and watching your thread.

Hey John...thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that. I did get all your comments and have asked one of the responders offline about his experience. It sounds like you HAVE to go to the dealer to get this done and they quoted me $85 just to hook up the computer to the truck - it is NOT covered under factory warranty.
