I am looking for a D-90 Station Wagon (i.e. hardtop) owner that lives in Charlotte. He waves to me about everyday on Sardis Rd and I wave back from my tan S3 109. The truck is an olive color with a safety devices roof rack and rear ladder. On the roll bar is 4 hellas, and other than that the vehicle appears stock. The year is either a 95 or 97 and in great condition. Apparently the owner attends Charlotte Christian School.

So, is this owner out there? I am wondering who I have been waving at for the last few months...

Max, based on you description it's probably a Willow Edition. They were the last 300 D90's to enter the country in '97. You might have more luck posting on the D90 Source BB: www.d-90.com

D90 owners, I've heard they're nice people

I've had mixed luck with D-90 owners. But with everything, there are nice people and no-to-nice people. Now that I think of it, there was only one guy that was nasty...

The other 75 Defender owners I've met were really nice people. In fact, every one of them was willing to help another roverite in trouble which I think highly of.

Over my 7-1/2 years of D90 ownership I've seen a real change in the type of people who buy D90's. Certainly a much more down to earth and fun bunch now as opposed to back then. I actually quit a local club and came very close to selling my D90 because I couldn't stand the pretentious attitudes back then, especially when it carried over to the trail.

Max, I've seen him also. Young guy, right? Well, I've waved twice while he was looking right at me and no response, so no more waves from me!

Oh, it's Conniston green, not the Willow edition (which is my favorite).

I've seen him too. A girl drives it sometimes as well. It was for sale in a neighborhood right next to Myers Park (where I go to school) a while back so i think this is who bought it. I'll have to confer it is a very nice looking truck. I went and looked at it when it was for sale. Excellent shape.
