he he, I got a wave from him last time I was down there but still no corespondance. I know where he lives though and if we do get a ride together I'm not beyond just going up and knocking on his door. :-)

Hey Tom, I just returned from a two-month visit to New Orleans, which unfortunately contained no time to play though. NOLA's my birthplace and home for 30 years, still have children living there. Looks like ya'll had a great time out at the Spillway. If I come down for JazzFest maybe we could connect.

Carter: you know, deep down, that there are no hills in LA unless you head up into la-yankee (Shreveport and above). But since St. Francisville is such a beautiful place it would certainly be a great trip anyway... ya'll enjoy! (After driving west out of Butte on I-90 toward Billings, there is no way I can now be convinced there are hills anywhere in LA!)

Later,
Don

yeah you've got to take into account that these accounts of 'hills' are coming from guys who have wheeled nowhere but down there their whole lives.... In reality I'm sure its just a few climps out of some ravines :-)

I havn't had a chance to get out there lately either. I've been itchin to, there was a report in the paper or on the news can't remember wich about how good the fishing has been there lately. The river is leaking into the spillway making for good fishing although they didn't say its got to be making for lots of mud also.
