I need to remove the sliding switch for the climate control fan. Just wondering if there is an easy way to get it out of the dash without removing too much stuff. Thanks. Ray |

Ray: The factory estimating guides gives 1.45 hours for this job. First-remove cup holder-must remove ashtray, coin holder, cruise switches, etc. Remove screws behind fascia. Remove radio-remove two vertical screws above and behind radio (requires offset screwdriver). Pull knobs for heater controls and screws in corners. Pull fascia forward and off. When you buy the switch, it comes with the heater controls/cables, etc. If you are careful, you can remove the switch alone. Carefully pull heater controls as far forward as you can, pry old switch out (you will likely break the surrounding plastic but don't sweat it too much unless you break a big piece out!) pry connector from switch, install new switch, repeat process in reverse. I have done this several times (I can nearly retire on replacing heater switches) and the best I can do is about 45 mintues start to stop. Be careful, the fascia plastic can become brittle and then you're screwed. Any questions, lemme know, I'll help. Peace, Paul |

Paul - where do you live? I'll bring my '95 right over! My fan only works on the second speed. I'm not too handy and this seems difficult to do. If you live in Nor Cal and would like to make a few extra bucks??? - Jay - |

Jay: My shop is in Indiana, but if you don't have it fixed by late July, I'll be coming through on my way from Portland to the 'con! Peace, Paul |
