I just changed the brake pads on my DII. When I started the truck after finishing. It was not very interested in starting. It started and had no problems until later in the week. Now it does not want to start, again. Checked battery/alt and noticed while I was underhood that ABS ticks (very lightly) while truck is not running. The sound is barely noticeable. It does this for awhile. Can anyone verify if this is normal? I'm wondering if this is pulling my bat. down? And what the HELL is it? What do I need to do? I will take to dealer if no one has any ideas! Thanks. |

The ABS contoller box on my DII makes a very quiet wierd noise all the time, but I wouldn't describe it as a ticking, something more digital sounding. Is your brattery drained? Do you have a voltmeter to check? |

I'll agree with very quiet wierd noise that you describe Erik. Recall ABS DII. Any numbers or info on that issue? Nobody? I checked the bat. and it checked OK with the meter however I was not convinced. Went to buy new bat. and had the stock AC Delco checked they said it was OK. They charged it. Got in next mourning and it was weak. Battery have done weird things to me before so I replaced with Champion/Exide spiral fancy battery. Starts OK now. Will see if it lasts. I'm concerned about the ABS. Currect as best I can tell is about 22mA. with it running and nothing else. This shouldn't drain battery. |
