I have a 2001 Disco and am considering getting a 2003. I like the improved clearance on the front end and improved power. Is this a worthwhile upgrade? Also, I currently have ACE. Is this still a worthwhile option for on and off road? |

Depend on what you want. Does your 2001 have a CDL nipple? |

Gary It depends on the type of offroading, if any you are going to do. If you are going to do the harry type of off roading that will have steep aproach angles and do damage to the airdam to begin with chances are that you are going to rip it off and or go aftermarket anyway not to mention suspention(so the improved clearance on the front end is a mute point, the chasis is still the same just the plastic is different). And if you are doing this type of stuff you should exney the ACE and the 18" rims, they will get trashed and the sidewall is not adiquite to air down and the ace will fuck up your flex. But if most of your driving is highway, road or even gravel with a bit of camping well the ACE and 18' wheels will make a difference for you. Christopher's coment about the CDL, well if you do the above type of offroading It will eventually come in handy, if not, it's not a real issue. And finally the extra power is nice but the milage is worse but keep in mind it's not a sports car. I'd say go with what your needs and wants dictate. My name is Ross and I have an 03 |
