Just did pads and rotors, Although the new pads are very quiet and smooth, there seems to be a little more brake pedal effort than was before. I have pleanty of brake power to trip the intilock and with fuse out I am able to lock up but it still feels like there is more pedal effort than before. I'm using PBR 4WD brake pads and the more I drive the better the pedal effort is getting but it has me wondering about the 5 year old rubber brake hoses. Did anyone change out to Paragon SS lines and notice an improvement due to the lines are less likly to expand? I'm sure it's a worth while upgrade but do you feel any differance in pedle effort?

I plan to swap out to my old tried and true Napa semi matalic sqweeler speacials later if these new pads don't wear in any better by the end of the week.

Before you ask, yes I blead the brakes. It's a hard peddle, not spongy. I also swaped in my old worn pads and the peddle effort was greatly reduced back to normal feel.

Anyone have any opinions

Gabe

I have the Paragon stainless steel brake lines from EE. I did not notice any significant change after installation.

Try roughing up the brake pads prior to installation. Removing the glaze on the new shoes will help the new brake pads grab better.

Thanks,
Mike B.

Drove to work today and they seem to grab better every day, or I'm getting more used to the pedal.

Seems 250 miles was what was needed to brake them in. I still plan to do the Paragon brake lines soon though.

Thanks for the input.

Gabe
