Hey Blake, Prentice Cooper went well. We had a nice turnout of people and pretty much everybody was really nice to be around. There was the one truckfull of drunken college kids in a newer all stock D2(only people I didn't care to see there). You know me, I'm not opposed to drinking, but there is a time and place for that, and it wasn't there. Anyhow, 1st trail we went on was very simple, nothing much, but nice to look at. The next leg we went on, I think only one stock D2 went along and that was the dealership guy with the dealership Disco(he was a good driver though). This 2nd part was alot of fun, still nothing too extreme though. There were lots more rocks than I anticipated. The trXus M/T's did well though. There was one area at the end of the trail where a few attempted, even less defeated a very challenging hill climb. Bob Foster in his D2 made it up fairly quickly, possibly broke a motor mount b/c something dented his hood from the inside out. A D1 tried it and couldn't get up the 1st part. A lady in a D90 made short work of it, Will tried and broke a motor mount, then another guy with full ARBs front and rear in a D1 pulled up it with ease as well. All in all a great trip and I will go again. Join up at our website and watch the few video clips I posted under files. Later.. Rob http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/TNRovers/ |

Yea, It was really awesome. The first trail was easy, but i enjoyed the scenery. I also enjoyed meeting some new people, including Zach Jaggers who wsa a really cool guy.... The drunk college kids in the Disco2 were real losers, and were pretty stupid....(I hope they are reading this.... ) the last short trail/hill climb that we attempted was very fun and challenging. Actually, the first time i went up, i crawled up about 90% of the trail, and the truck stalled right as i got over the second to last obstacle.(Due to the intake hose coming lose, due to the motor rotating, due to the broken motor mounts.) So i rolled back down the hill to flat ground, we get my truck running again, and i attempted to get up again. I worked on it for about 10 minutes, but i was just digging it out worse, and backed down.... Overall, it was an extremely fun day, and I enjoyed hanging out with some friends i hadnt seen for awhile(Rob+Jill Sublett)... Blake+Robert, this summer we will have to get a ride together, and go back up there...maybe we could make a whole weekend of it, and also go hit some trails in the monteagle area.... Check out the videos! There are some cool ones...and you can hear my new flowmaster |

Yeah we'll have to make a weekend of it. I'd love to do some camping and everything. We just need to start setting some dates, when everyone gets free. |
