Hello,

I own a '99 Disco II and the warranty expires in a few months. What should I have the dealer replace or look at, before the expiration date.

Thanks in advance.

Hey if you don't mind spending the money, you could always opt to have it certified and get the 2 or 3 years of additional warranty. I bought one that was within just a few hundred miles of the end of warranty. They offered it (i got the 3 year 86000 mile one). Cost total $2500. They certified it and found MONDO problems all over. But well worth it. My truck will have three more years of warranty and will drive like a new one now!

It's the Land Rover Certified Vehicle warranty (same as extended warranty) - $100 deductable.

good idea if you plan on keeping it. The LR warranty also covers valve stick issues that most other plans do not.
Common 99 DII failure items - valve stick, rocker arm noise, radiators leak, rear engine oil leaks (rear main, rear main bearing cap seals, cam bore plug), t-box interm shaft o-rings, hoses, rear hubs, headgaskets leak coolant.

May want to pay to have vehicle inspected on a lift. Depending on dealer attitude you may want to have this done at a aftermarket shop that knows rovers. Some dealers will help, others will not.
