I am sure I will take a lot of ribbing for complaining about a rough ride on the road with this vehicle but I was wondering if the SLS is making things worse. I live in a small NH town with lots of frost heaves and the ride home is harsh to say the least. I just picked up my Discovery and after driving for a few days, it seems to ride a lot rougher than the other two that I test drove. The other two were not SE7's and did not have the air suspension. Is it possible that I have too much air in the system which is causing a rougher ride? Is their anything I can do about this or are all the Discos like this. I can take it but if I can make the ride a little softer I will. Go easy on me.

I have a 2001 SE7. I felt the front end on mine was the problem (too soft and too boingy on bumps). I didn't have a problem with the rear end ride at all.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately their is nothing soft about my ride. Every bump (almost) rattles the entire vehicle and I am starting to get a little concerned about my fillings!! I raised the suspension fully and let it automatically lower which seemed to help a bit but the ride seems to have become stiffer again. I knew it wouldn't be a Lexus but after driving 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees over the last several years I am a bit surprised.

I have a 97 Disco and my ride is very rough as well. I will be changing my shocks and see if that helps... some one suggested Rancho (spelling???) shocks as one that gives a great ride.
