Trailer light connections? How to do it?

Does not have the little box for the trailer lights connectoin next to the trailer hitch. I know that this is really going to sound stupid but do you have to remove the tail light every time you want to tow a trailer? I read the manual and see where the harness is but what do you do after you get the correct harness?
