For the last couple of weeks when I start my truck in the morning I get a quick strong whiff of exhaust and gas from the heater blower when it first kicks on. Any Ideas as to what is leaking? The exhaust seems OK I do not hear any leaks.

What is the seventh Vin character? You may have a LEV truck. If the number is a 5 then it is LEV and if the number is 2 it is non-LEV. If it is a 2 then this will not pertain to you.
The LEV pump is located right by the fresh air intake. The LEV secondary air injection system is set to operate on start up and light off the cats quicker. You may want to make sure the pump is operating properly. If the pump locked up it may be opening the valves located on either side of the engine near the intake manifold and letting exhaust gas escape thru the pump. This SHOULD turn the check engine light on but it is a rover.
