Can someone please tell me where the audio amplifier is located at? (Discovery '96) Also - Anyone knows why - when i try to hook my computer into the wires (the ones that leads to the amp) that hooks onto the back of the radio, it would buzz loudly. The computer is grounded and all. I was hoping if i hook the audio wires directly to the amp, it would remove the buzz noise. The buzz noise will not occur if i listen to the computer with a headset. Thanks in advance. -ram |

The amps are inside the Pass. side kick panel. When you remove the kick panel there is a black box about the size of you hand kindda up high. Good luck messing with this thing. |

Can ground loops occur in DC systems? Sounds to me like a typical ground loop. Does it occur when the computer(laptop?) is under battery power and connected?

Does it occur when the computer(laptop?) is under battery power and connected? Its not a laptop, and it does not occur if I listen to it via a head set, but once i connect to the wire of the radio it buzzes. I've tried using another powersupply and connecting to a 120v wall plug and it still buzzes. =/ |

I had to deal w/ something similar while wiring a new head unit. All I can say is watch for audio wires running close to power wires, seemed to solve my buzzing problems. Good luck |
