Rear pinion seal

I have taken it to 2 different shops and they can't figure out how to access it. One thinks they need a special tool the other is confused - no dealership in sight and they won't provide me any info over the phone to help me out. I'm a new LR owner too far from a dealership for repairs especially when it's -40. This website is excellent and I have a feeling I'll be using it frequently.
