I am having problems with my A/C cutting in and out. It will work fine for awhile and then cut out completely (no fan) for a second or three, and then come back on. I have not had this problem while using the heat...it only happens with A/C. It seems to be exacerbated when I have it set colder and/or the fan set higher. I just had the A/C system recharged two weeks ago, and that didn't alleviate the issue.

With 110 degree days only a few months away here in AZ, I want to get this resolved before summer hits.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Mine does this time to time. I just cut it back to #4 and it comes back on. Im guessing it is a loose connection on #5 (High).

This is a very common problem. Your switch is bad. The next time it happens, jiggle the switch just to make sure. The only fix is to replace it.

I also have this problem. The clutch is engaged and the compressor is running, but I get no cold air.
I have been told it could be a faulty pressure switch, causing the freezing up of the system. Is there a lot more water under you vehicle than normal, indictating a freeze up. when it unfreezes the A/C comes back on.
