Strange sound coming out of passenger...

Author Message   Eddie (Honu) Member Username: Honu Post Number: 46 Registered: 01-2003 Posted on Saturday, March 22, 2003 - 09:13 pm:    sounds almost like the ac is on really low/ kind of an airy grindy sound..very low. i took into the shop for a pre buy inspection on the engine..and the guy said that its an easy fix. he said the sound is actually coming from the ac hoses/pipes. the fix is to get a ZINC ANODE (what is this) that i can purchase at a marine shop. its used to stop corrosion on boats..you clamp this onto the larger of the two hoses and the sound goes away. has anyone heard of this? where are the two ac hoses near the fire wall..and what is a zinc anode and what does it look like..thanks   Eddie (Honu) Member Username: Honu Post Number: 55 Registered: 01-2003 Posted on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 - 10:02 pm:    anyone have any expierence with this? it would be most helpful.
