I run a catback Borla on mine. Nice tone. More ummmphf....You can get them for around 450-475.00 with a million mile warranty.

Highly recommend.

Take off the muffler and replace it with a $35 glass pack (long skinny cylinder)...take off the resonator for a lil more noise. Cheap, easy, and last you 200k miles if it stays out of salt. Probably get a stainless steel version for twice the cost and last as long as a borla.

Hey Mark,

I think NRP makes the finest replacement exhaust (http://onlinemac.com/business/northwestrover/), with the nicest tone. I've heard many complain that the Borla Drones far too much at highway speeds, and may reports of owners pulling the Borla off because they couldn't deal with it. The NRP Is a very nice quality all Stainless solution, that retains a resonator, but not the large canister like the stock system. I've been very pleased with mine, it has a nice tone but is never objectionable, even to my wife, and is really well built.

Only Drawback in my opinion is the price. If that is an issue, go the custom route and find a good shop to bend the pipe for you.

I am running a Bullet exhaust from:

www.bulletperformance.com

Cost - about $125 installed
Sound - can barely tell the difference from stock, but does add a deeper V8 sound!
Performance - noticeable

Mark,
I put a Flowmaster on my 98 Disco, hacked off my resinator and put a stainless steel pipe out the rear. Looks bad ass, and sounds good as hell. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!

I put i think a 3 inch pipe, maybe 3 1/2. I promise you won't regret putting it on. If you want to maintain the stock sound but have a growl to it leave the resinator on, if you want him to sound mean hack the resinator off.
