If I park my 99 Disco II with the windows down and roof open (with the doors locked and alarm set) it seems the slightest breeze will set off the alarm. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of this feature? Summer is coming and I want to be able to park with my truck open knowing that the alarm will protect against an intruder. Thanks, Gary |

Try locking it with the key and not with the remote. That should arm all of the perimeter security features, but leave the motion sensors off. Works on my 99 DII when I have the dog in the back and have to leave the windows open. |

After having the alarm go off one too many times due to what I can only imagine are ghosts or space aliens, I just disconnected mine. The two sensors just pop out (they are a friction fit). Unplug the connector from each, and stuff 'em back in. The alarm system diagnostics don't seem to care. I've had mine that way for 3.5 years. I tried the door lock route for a while, but it's annoying when you forget and have to walk back to the driver's side. I remember the good old days when all the doors had locks. |
