I have a 96 Disco without fog lights. I am in the process of adding some Hella's, and noticed that the foglight switch on the left bank of my dash pod light when you press it, and I have also noticed that there are wires that are behind both headlights (I assume go to the fogs if equipped). Are there any articles describing how to use this existing switch and wiring to hook up fog lights?

On my '96 the fog light switch on the instrument binacle is for the rear fog lamps. The switch for the front lamps is under the clock next to the cruise control switch.

The wiring should be there. If you pull that under clock panel out there may be a plug there waiting for a switch.

The plugs for the fogs are located in that hole just inboard of the headlights.

You will also need to put in a relay. It is behind the drivers side left kick panel. Go to radio shack or autozone or somewhere and pick one up, put it in, and off you go.

I cut and spliced the wires to my hellas in front. That way I didn't have to worry about any harness or anything.

Do you already have a switch?

Hi Matt
The plug for the factory switch should be green in colour and will be tied up in a bunch near the fuse panel, you will probably need to remove the switch panel and the ash tray in order to remove cup holder, so you can fish them through.
They will be there but you will need to search, beware there are sharp edges in there!
