Try Oxygensensors.com I just got two for my 96 for 89.95 each. Best price I've seen anywhere.

Oxygensensors.com is a great deal. I just got a set for my '95 Disco and they were only $59.90/ea, but they may be more for the later model years.

If you know how to solder, I see no reason not to go with Oxygensensors.com.

Paul,

What do you have to solder? I recently replaced mine, but it looks like one of them went south on me. I'm not too keen on spending another $100 if I can avoid it.

When you buy the Oxygensensors.com sensors, they do not come with the connector attached. One must cut the connector off the existing sensors and using the supplied butt connectors and heat-shrink tubing, solder them together and away you go. The butt connectors are pretty nice and pre-tinned so the solder sticks well and wicks right into where it is supposed to be.

Can't beat the $59.90 price, either!

Peace,
Paul

Ok, Found it! I kept getting referred to www.oxygensensors.net, they quoted me a price of $125.00!

How long have you had yours in? Any problems?

Mike

I just put them in last weekend. The hardest part, and the most time consuming, was rewiring the telephones in the house after the wife rearranged the furniture and killed the phones!

So far, so good.

Peace,
Paul

You can buy it two ways from oxygensors.com . With the connection plug or just the sensor which you'll have to cut and splice the wires. For my 96 the price was the same for either so I just bought it with the plug. When you order, make sure you look at the picture and check the plug. You can't beat their price. I got free shipping with mine.

How do you know if your oxygen sensor is shot?

you can have them tested to see.

when one of mine "failed", it caused the check engine light to come on.

I might do mine this summer. Is there any difference in the quality of an oxygen sensor? There seems to be a big difference in prices. Does quality reflect that? I certainly like the idea of supporting people who are in the LR community for purchases.

I don't know anything about oxygensensors.com. I do know that Nathan Crabtree is a great guy with great prices & I would support him if possible.

there are only a few O2 sensor makers out there, so the quality really does not seem to vary that much. least from what i have been told from 'experts'. but there is no reason to pay $120+ for an O2 sensor unless you are high. they can be had for about $80, including the site Alyssa mentioned above. and of course Nathan is good to deal with as well and should be close to that price as well. especially when you have 4 on your truck.

TPH,

just recently had the pleasure of having 1 sensor replaced by the dealer on one LR and 2 sensors replaced on my RR by my private Rover doctor.

the ones from Nathan are the way to go.
