I have done a couple searches and can't find what I am looking for. My 96 disco's ABS is activating during normal (but slow) driving. I know in the past I have read about having to reset sensors because of this problem. Can anyone let me know how to do this, or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance. |

Hey Josh! I had the same problem with my 96. I almost got into several accidents before I unlugged the pump. If you are determined you can try to reseat the sensors that are located in the swivel ball. But if i were you, I'd just disconnect the power lead to the ABS pump. Much better braking off road and on road. But, if you must, you can simply clean the immediate area around the sensor orifice on the swivel ball then firmly push the sensor in. -Eric |

My 95 d1 did the same thing. I pulled my abs sensors and cleaned and reseated them. Proved to be I had a bad sensor, and without replacing it I had no choice but disconnecting the system. I liked running mine without abs in snow and sand out here in Utah, but you may prefer your ABS. The link I gave is for a RRC by the way. I forgot to add that connector is under the dash on the drivers side in a discovery. Sorry I forgot to add that. It worked on my 95, so I don't know about yours. |
