I have put 100 watt h3's in my 500's without a problem. But I used 12 gage wire and a 30 amp relay and fuse. I had the lights, but no wiring, so I used heavier wire than what the lamps come with. Are the 500's brighter; yes. Are the lights as good as say hellas 4000's; no. Bigger the light, the better the beam. I put my 500's on my roof rack as camp set up lights and night wheeling lights, but I use 4000's as driving lights on the bumper. I noticed a large difference in light performance with the lights engineered to take the brighter bulbs. But I had no problems for about 2 years with 100w h3's in those 500's.

ok cool thanks!
yea... I wanted to get just a bit more light without upgrading the lamps... I guess I'll have to go with either getting another pair of 4000s or... a pair of LightForce?
