Anyone else catch that?
I agree about the turbocharged diesel in the Rover, but I highly doubt that it's a V6, though...

Doesn't say which won, either....

I thought it said they both prefered the Humvee, even though they only cited the spacious interior as the real reason.

Exactly, they preferred it because of the space; but it doesn't say which got across the finish line first! Which won the race?? :-)

"The U.S. military fits all Humvees with a governor to regulate a top speed of no more than 55 miles per hour."

And is usually one of the first things a good maintenance chief removes.

Very cool.

Drivers take corners on two wheels, sometimes leaving the ground altogether as they bounce over dunes and ruts at speeds that can exceed 100 miles per hour.

I love that quote. I grew up on WWII movies, (being the son of a WWII vet, career Navy man), and I can still see those images from when I was a kid. Those movies, and Wild Kingdom were my first glimpses of Rover's in action. The Disco is great, but I still want a Series!

Maybe the youth of today will feel the same way about the Humvee - except for my kids!!!
