No 1 reason I threw it out of the mix when the better half wanted a new buggy. |

Thing is a cross between a Dodge Caravan and a Beetle with the "luxury" of a Mercedes... or not. |

Um, I think you need to look at Mercedes real off roader--the G500. about same price as a Rangie...and very competitive...competent as hell off road too!! |

When we were looking to get my wife another vehicle, the M class was in the mix. I stopped in the local Benz dealer after a long day at work, and a long drive as well. I got into the M class and it felt like I was riding on a cushion, wrapped in luxury. Definitely if you don't like going off road I think it should be a choice. We ended up with another Rover though, got her a D2. But yeh, I guess the M class does look like a minivan.. but damn it was comfy.. |

My brother in law placed an order for a G-wagen sight unseen. When one came in that someone else had ordered, the dealer allowed my brother in law to test-drive it... He demanded his deposit back and decided he would continue driving his Rangie. He was unimpressed with the G-Wagen, and he can pretty much afford to drive what he wishes. To be honest, I have let him drive a couple of Defenders and he has pretty much the same opinion of Defenders. Wimp! Peace, Paul |
