I did it last year. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=384272 Since then I've gone through an '89 Trooper and now have a solid axled, '85 4Runner which I will be wheeling extensively and modifying. Great truck. That was my first real 'wheeling short of getting my Dad's Blazer muddy in High School. It really opened my eyes to the Rover World. Unfortunately, a Rover is still well out of my financial reach. Eventually, I want a '95 Discovery to be heavily modified. I still hang out here as I really like the group and it's well-mannered, well-informed opinions and experiences of the off road hobby.

Tuna, I attended last year and had a great time. I have a $275 gift certificate to them that I was trying to schedule for this year and learned that they are no longer the Land Rover Driving School, but now just the "Offroad Driving School". Since the sponsorship / ownership changed they can no longer honor my certificate. The date they told me this is effective will be April 15th. I don't know if you were aware of this, or if it even effects you, but I hope you still have a great time!! Lawrence lnctilly@metrocast.net 96 Disco "Beowulf" NH, USA |

I went and checked out the school when I was taking some classes at Orvis a few years back. Then it was the LandRover driving school. I know others will second this, because it has been discussed at length...BUT its so frigin expencive if you own a Landrover, an afternoon out with a local club would be just as good an education if thats what your goal is of spending that money.. Now, if your goal is to beat on someone elses rover, now thats a different story all together joshua |

The Land Rover Driving School at the Equnox IS closing in a couple of weeks, and the LR instructors are being transfered to the Greenbrier. Without LRs or trained instructors, I wouldn't waste my time or money going up there! Rick |
