Well,

I finally got around to wrapping these around the alloys. I am running the 265/75 R16 tires on stock Disco II suspension with no problems at all. They do not rub anywhere.

Now, before I mounted them I cut the foglight sections off of the front bumper and got rid of the front part of the wheel well liner, so maby that's why they don't rub, but I swear it looks as if I could have crammed 33"s in there!

Anyway, the KMs are actually quieter on the road than the old Goodyears were, and they handle fine, without problems at highway speeds. I took them to a mud hole and spun around a bit and I really had to floor it from a standstill to get the traction control to chatter at all.

Basically, the only differences are slightly decreased wet pavement traction and dramatically increased off pavement traction (to be expected).

Anyway, this weekend if they arrive, I am installing the OME HDs, so I'll put some pics in my gallery then.

Cheers,

Kennith

Ok,

Since no one wants to post or give me a cookie, I'll post a picture of my horrible grinding work on the spare tire carrier and let you flame me. :-)

Cheers,

Kennith

Yeah I did a hack job on my spare carrier when I flipped it to fit my 265's. Works for me and no one can see unless the spare is off. Maybe one day I will grind and paint the trimmed part.

Didn't you just invert the plate and drill two new holes?

Along with inverting, you have to trim the edge of one side so the wiper arm can return to its original position. You can adjust the arm to not return all the way down if you like. I just used tin snips.

Actually you don't. Pull off the wiper and rotate it a spline or two and put it back. It will work with that size, trust me.
