Ya, that was sweet. I especially liked how they gave the dolphines some credit too.. Amazing what animals like that can do.

Funny, most of them are not old enough to drink but brave enough to die.

And to think there were American citizens laying down on 5th Ave in NY today protesting our war of aggression holding pictures of the Iraqi "victims". It makes me sick, these brave young men and women are laying it all on the line for their right to disagree and they show them nothing but disrespect.

It's NYC and they live in a vacuum. My sis lives there and it's like the only information she gets is from Al-Jazarra (sp?) or about that lopsided. Too much Hillary and not enough truth. Also, how many of those protesting are there for the "glory" of saying they were there and not really understanding what this is about? My guess would be most of those there are clueless and the rest are close to worthless. To think this is the city that was targeted not so long ago. I am as ashamed of those prostesters as I am proud of those fighting for what is right.

Bryan, I think you are misinformed. In NYC we get information from all over the world and we decide for ourselves what to think about the war. Some folks are for the war and some against it...but we get to choose...

No doubt John C I agree with you 100%. We all have much information at our finger tips, its what you choose to listen to huh? To me it's all propoganda at this point in time (from both sides). Unfortunately, in many ways it sure seems like the other side is winning the PR game.

There are people all over the states and the world that oppose this war (or for many the way and time that it got started).

It is one's right to choose to be against the war and to voice their opinion. They should not be critised for doing this, they too should be respected and listened to. They are not necessarily showing disrespect for our troops.

It was not the choice of the American people to go to war. It was the government that chose to do it and some people do not agree with the government. Just like it is their right to voice their opinion it is our right to protest them as long as both are done in a civil manner.

Ah yes the all inclusive umbrella of free speech. I always hear people saying that it is our God given right to speak our minds and have and voice our opinion, no matter how unpopular. Now, I'm no Bible Thumper, but I think I missed the Bill of Rights in the Bible or any religious book for that matter. We have this right not because we are people, but because we are Americans. While I'm sure that our Troops that are scattered around the world defend our rights, as well as fighting for other oppressed persons to have this right, may not agree with the anti-war protestors, they are still defending their rights. So if the protestors want to hold up pictures perhaps they should have pictures of the brave soldiers who have died fighting for the rights of the oppressed people Iraq, so that one day they might have the right to voice this opinion of there own. Just my opinion.

You are right Michael, as Americans we have the right to our opinion or is there somewhere in the Bill of Rights that says "only citizens that support the war" have the right of Freedom of Speech?.

BTW, many presidents have secured our freedom without ever going to war.

PS: I really don't give a f*uck about God or the bible.

Sorry John, every president that has "secured our freedom without ever going to war" instead did so with an arsenal of weaponry and a standing Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard that implied the threat of war. Every minute of peace that you know was purchased by blood shed in war.

I'm glad JohnC has made my point. You are right God has nothing to do with it, that was my point. Too many people take their liberty for granted(i.e. they think it is somehow God given). They think that just because they can organize protests against something they don't believe in that the whole world can as well. Which obviously is not true. That is why our Troops are fighting in Iraq. But you did miss out on one of my points in my previous rant, and that was I believe in the right of people to speak their mind, especially if I don't agree with them, as do our Troops. That is one of things that makes us a great nation. But it is also my right to think and say that they are idiots.
